Guess who’s bzack!!!!

Been awhile…so big ups to my peeps on the internetz! You know who you are…

My hiatus has been because of a few things…but mostly laziness (but honestly, I have been really busy). Having a family is such hardwork…but worth it all. My little one is getting so big. She just turned 2 in June and sooooo smart. I am truly blessed. So much more on that to come.

Work has been going very well. I have been there a year and could not be happier; great boss, great location…not too mention the pending promotion (…hoping some $$$ to go along with it too…more never hurts ;) )

Well…so much to talk about and will start posting regularly again.

Life…

4 02 2007

…has been so busy. I have not had much time to post so I miss the “therapy”. So much has happened…some downs…but mostly ups. My daughter is walking and talking since I last wrote about her. She is so amazing…and so bright. She turns 20 months in a few days and talks as well as any 2 yr old and figures out things so quickly. She counts to twelve and knows most of her ABC’s. As one of my friend’s says, “she’s been her before.”

DS Lite PWNS!

4 02 2007

I made a deal with my daughter back in March/April of last year that if she improved her grades, she would get a Nintendo DS. Really bright kid…just hates school and is sooo lazy. So as a motivation, promised to buy her the DS. Well, I knew that the DS lite was going to be released around the time school was out this past summer. Well she ended up with a 3.0 (all B’s and a C+). So had to open the ole wallet…and low and behold…walked out of there with two of them. After all, she needed someone to “challenge” over their network.

The Nintendo DS Lite is slimmer and much sleeker that the original DS. Dual-screen and microphone-enabled gameplay as well as Wi-Fi multiplayer capabilities, and backward-compatible with almost every GBA title, which is a big plus since we both have all the version of the Nintendo portables, all the way back to the original.

Been awhile…

13 08 2006

…since a post. So much has changed in the last month or so. I went on vacation and I got a new job in July. Took the family on our first “family” vacation to Maryland’s vacation “hot” spot…”Ohcean City hon!” We took the baby for her first of many trips to the ocean. She absolutely loved it. I did learn a lesson though. A family of 5….myself, my wife, the baby, my step-daughter and her half-sister…do not fit very well in a Lexus 330. Although the Lexus is a very nice and reliable alternative to an SUV gas hog and global killer, i can see why some families opt for a SUV vs. a Mini-van. IMO…the mini-van is very “yuppie, white-collar, soccer mom-ish” vehicle and for those that know me personally…a mini-van does not fit the personality…not that the Lexus did either So we got rid of the Lex and bought another Tahoe…which I could justify this time round since my new job is 15 miles away vs. the 30+ miles I have been commuting since graduating from college, not to mention the new 2007’s are just hawt!

Anyway…new job is great…keeps me very busy. The only negative part is that it is pulled me further from the technical side of things. Not necessarily a bad thing. I guess now I will have too be more diligent on my own volition and stay on top of things. So much has gone on in the world and with me…but I will start making time to post.

Well…just checking in…so sup to all my peeps and appreciate the love and those that visit. Catch y’all next week.

Da-da…

4 04 2006

My 9 month old has been walking around the house saying "da da…da da". As a new father, it was so cool too hear her saying "da da". My wife is a little jealous because her and my mother-in-law had been trying to get her to say "ma ma" for awhile now. What is cool abouth the whole thing is that I was watching a prominent news channel do a story about babies and how they learn to talk. What made the story interesting was that specialist say babies will generally say a word they find most interesting. They went on to say that babies understand quite a bit of words…but whatever appeals to them, thats what they say….That's my girl!
